Does Your Church Look Like This?

Acts 2:42:47
The Fellowship of the Believers

42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.43 And awe [1] came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. 44 And all who believed were together and had all things in common. 45 And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. 46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.

  1. Richard says:

Does hanging out with you count? I consider it a ministry!

  2. Richard says:

Pockets… I see pockets of this at church. And it’s so fun to give of yourself to the body of believers. Are you hungary? Feed your fellow believer. Do you need clothes? Go buy an outfit for someone else. Do you need money? Give it all away first. And watch the joy of Christ RULE in our hearts!

Lord, help me to give myself away and obey Acts 2

  3. Daniel Ray says:

Stephen, this is a great challenge to be removed from our self absorption for the betterment of the gathering of believers to the glory of God. Man, my selfishness is in clearer view now and I thank you for exposing my blind spots. May God move us towards this picture of the Church, realizing Christ’s work on our behalf makes it possible.
